Cedar Museum
The Cedar Museum, created and managed by the Calabrian Cedar Consortium, is located in Santa Maria del Cedro in a splendid 15th-16th century factory, known as the Company's Prison. The visit is a journey through "culture and culture". It is developed around two souls: the artistic path rich in ceramic panels that tells of the cedar, its history rich in references to the biblical world and to Jewish traditions, as well as many literary citations of citrus, from Boccaccio to D'Annunzio. The archaeological route linked to the Laos site, a colony of Magna Graecia. Finally, the Taste Workshop offers visitors the opportunity to taste different citrus specialties, including citron liqueur, cedar oil, candied fruit, jam, D'Annunzio's tasty panicelli and natural cedar. In addition to culinary delicacies, the line of natural cedar cosmetics is also vast. All specialties that can be purchased.
